The Run For A Reason Charity Program presented by Bank of America is for passionate runners like you who want to make a difference and change lives.  Connect your passion with purpose and commit to fundraise for a meaningful cause close to your heart. Choose an official charity to run for and commit to a fundraising minimum to earn a FREE race entry!

Here’s a step-by-step walk through of the process to register to fundraise for charity.

Not yet registered to race and you want to fundraise for charity?

Step 1:  Go to

Step 2: Click “RUN FOR CHARITY”

Step 3: Select which event you want to run.

Step 4: Select a charity team to join to set up your fundraiser. The drop-down menu will have a list of all of the official charities that you can choose from. Once selected, you will be notified of the fundraising requirement for that team.

Step 5: Guarantee your fundraising minimum by agreeing to the terms and conditions. If you do not meet your minimum by the date in the charity selected, your credit card will be charged the remaining balance of your minimum.

Step 6: Create an account or login. Please note, your email can only be tied to one registration. If you want to register for another race or register someone else, you will need to use a different email address.

Step 7: Proceed to checkout and select “COMPLETE REGISTRATION”. Your credit card will only be charged if you do not reach your fundraising requirement.

STEP 8: After completing this process you will be registered for the race you selected and receive a fundraising page that you can update and use to track donations.


Already registered to race and you want to fundraise for charity?

Step 1: Go to

Step 2: Scroll down and select the “CLICK HERE TO START A FUNDRAISER” link.

Step 3: Search for a charity you want to support and then click on the team page. It can be an official or contributing charity.

Step 4: Click “JOIN THE TEAM” to create your very own fundraising page that you can use to track your donations. Because this is a fundraising only option, you will not be held to a fundraising requirement nor will you have to put in your credit card information.
