Race Weekend Information

The DICK'S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon is ready for another great weekend of events! Be sure you're prepared by reading through our important topics below. Detailed information about race weekend is also available in the Ultimate Marathon Guide.

We recommend participants with smart phones download our NEW RaceJoy mobile app. The app is FREE to download on Apple App Store and Android Google Play. The app offers the latest in mobile race technology, including immediate results and live GPS tracking for friends and family during the race. Users of the RaceJoy app will have convenient access to information about all race weekend events, including course maps, runner’s guide, spectator’s guide, race numbers, award information and results within seconds of crossing the finish line.

Safety is our top priority and we work year-round with city safety officials to plan a safe and fun experience for everyone involved.

To help ensure a safe race experience, the DICK’S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon encourages all spectators, volunteers and runners to be aware of their surroundings.

  • If you see a suspicious person, object or vehicle along or near the race course, please report the sighting to 9-1-1 or notify nearby law enforcement personnel.
  • Do not store, hide or leave any personal items, backpacks, packages or clothes along or near the race course, including the start and finish line areas and Point State Park.

More information about race weekend guidelines is available for runners, spectators and volunteers.
