USATF Half Marathon Championships

The nation’s best runners will descend on the City of Champions on Sunday, May 5, 2019 to compete for an event record prize purse totaling $85,000.

P3R is proud to once again host the USATF Half Marathon Championships in conjunction with the DICK'S Sporting Goods Pittsburgh Marathon weekend of events. The men's and women's 2019 USATF Half Marathon Championships will be held Sunday, May 5, 2019.

Prize Purse

The 2019 USATF Half Marathon Championships will offer a total of $85,000 in prize money. The top 15 finishers in the men's and women's open divisions will earn guaranteed prize money, including a record $15,000 each for the male and female national champions. There will also be an opportunity to earn additional money through performance time and record bonuses.

2018 Results

At the 2018 national championship race held in Pittsburgh, Chris Derrick won the men's title in 1:02:37 and Aliphine Tuliamuk won the women's title in 1:10:04. Click here to read more about the 2018 USATF Half Marathon Championships.

Eligibility Requirements
  • Citizenship: All athletes must be U.S. citizens and eligible to represent the United States at all levels of international competition.
  • USATF Membership: All athletes must be 2019 members of USATF in good standing. USATF membership may be purchased online, through your local Association Office, or by calling the USATF National Office at 317-713-4665.
